Project Overview:
Nike LDN campaign moment “The Penny Drop”, centred around confidence, self-belief and personal progression within sport and culture.

The film follows footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa — known for his larger-than-life presence, positivity and infectious self-belief — as he mentors 23-year-old Londoner Tu’Shea on a personal challenge to learn how to dive within four weeks. Through his own lived experience navigating doubt and external opinions, Akinfenwa becomes a source of motivation, offering guidance, perspective and encouragement.

The styling direction supported this narrative of authenticity and self-assurance, keeping looks grounded in Nike LDN lifestyle pieces that reflected everyday movement and community culture. The overall approach focused on capturing the energy of mentorship, confidence-building and personal breakthrough, aligning with Nike’s broader ethos of empowerment through sport.
